Mumbai: Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela has responded to the criticism surrounding the song Dabidi Dabidi from her recently released action-drama film Daku Maharaj.
According to Indian media reports, the song features South Indian star Nandamuri Balakrishna and has faced online criticism due to Urvashi’s controversial dance moves. Many people have deemed it inappropriate.
In an interview, Urvashi addressed the criticism, saying that the song was specifically filmed for Nandamuri Balakrishna’s fans. She mentioned that the rehearsal process went smoothly and that she felt satisfied working with choreographer Shekhar Master.
She admitted that their team was surprised by the public’s reaction, as they didn’t expect the song to receive criticism and certainly didn’t foresee it going viral for the wrong reasons.
Daku Maharaj is a Telugu film with an astonishing budget of around 100 crores. Despite the criticism, both the film and the song have gained significant popularity.
Previously, Urvashi Rautela made a controversial statement claiming that she was more popular than Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
